Braces: Cost, time, insurance, other options?
My parents are planing on getting me braces, I'm 13. Only 3 of my teeth is slightly crooked and they are not very noticeable. I have Healthy Family Insurance, is it covered, if its not, how much will it cost?

Unfortunately, most health insurances do not cover a lot. When i had braces, my insurance only covered ~20% and the rest my parents had to pay. I guess the reason for that is because it's considered cosmetic...meaning, since it's used to improve ones appearance, it is not necessary. My braces cost ~$8,000. (source: Yahoo! Answers)
